This morning, all of our Old Saybrook schools proudly celebrated Veterans Day. At Old Saybrook Middle School, students had the special opportunity to meet and learn from a panel of local veterans who generously shared their stories and experiences in service to our country.

Following the discussion, our Culinary Arts students hosted a delicious breakfast for the veterans, and the band and chorus closed the morning with a heartfelt performance in their honor.

We are deeply grateful to our veterans for their courage, sacrifice, and service, and to our students and staff for helping make today such a meaningful celebration of gratitude and respect.

October is Fire Prevention Month, and today, Goodwin students got the opportunity to meet with members of the Old Saybrook Fire Department to learn about fire safety and see how a fire truck works.

September 25, 2025 - Due to unforeseen circumstances, ALL bus runs will be approximately five (5) minutes behind schedule this morning.

Our Goodwin Students spent some time this morning practicing bus safety. Discussions were held regarding student expectations, responsibilities, and being kind to others while riding.

Our youngest Rams had a great first day! It's going to be an excellent year!

The newest Old Saybrook Team Store is now open. The store will remain open until August 27th. Orders will be shipped directly to the customer. Any questions regarding the team store, products or delivery should be sent directly to Stadium Systems. Go Rams!

Last night, fourth graders and their families came together to celebrate their move to the middle school with a brand new tradition at Goodwin. Fourth Grade Family Night was a fun and meaningful evening that gave our students a moment to shine before their next big adventure. Congratulations to our new Middle Schoolers!

Celebrate Saybrook is coming! The street party of the year will be on Sunday, June 22, from 1:30-6:00 PM!

Old Saybrook Families, Due to an accident on Main Street, buses may be delayed this afternoon. None of our buses were involved in the accident, and all students are safe. Have a nice long weekend!

Old Saybrook Community Members,  This morning, a Goodwin student got a knee stuck in the playscape at recess. There were no injuries and members of the volunteer fire department responded and used a wrench to unbolt a piece of the playground and free the child. We want to thank emergency services for their quick response and reassure you that there was no danger to the school community and everyone is ok. Thank you and have a great weekend.

May 7 was bike, ride, walk, and roll to school day. Many riders were able to get safety gear from our table that will help to keep them safe and visible as the navigate around Old Saybrook.

Congratulations to our 4th Graders for their fantastic art exhibit at Middlesex Health in Westbrook. This is a wonderful example of our students' talent. A big thank you to Mrs. Bernhardson for leading this project.

As Goodwin wraps up our annual Celebration of Reading, we would like to thank all of the guest readers who came to the school to share stories with our students. Our kids had a blast watching their favorite books come to life.

We debuted Rocky the Ram to our Goodwin students yesterday at a pep rally that featured jump roping, cup stacking, and hoola hooping! The crowd went wild, and everyone had a great time!

Today is Wednesday, February 12, 2025. All schools and offices will operate on a two hour delay schedule today.
