As we continue to implement The Responsive Classroom Model, last Thursday we welcomed Betsey Pattison, a Responsive Classroom Trainer. Her goal for the day was to visit all areas of Goodwin School and share feedback. Below are a few areas she noted:

- Seems like everyone is happy to be here, students and adults
- Adults helping students- students following rules- not all teachers use visual cues
- Classrooms are set up for student success and independence
- Student to student communication is healthy – some off task
- Hallways are wonderful – student behavior, student work, bulletin boards
- Teacher language could be more consistent – correcting students, calling students “guys”

We will continue to evaluate year one implementation and make necessary changes.
